We had a great time at Bailey's birthday celebration. We started the day before (brad had to work on her birthday) and followed the next day with Jello treats at school and a special request home-cooked dinner of Chicken Katsu with Mackenzie and family. Bailey had a wonderful time!
Brad went on his KILLER ULUA FISHING TRIP (official name) this weekend so we've been going to the park in our neighborhood and the boys practice their casting and the girls play fish and bring the lead and line back.
Yes this is our Chloe HANGING from the bar. Besides hanging she enjoys climbing to precarious points and giving Mommy small panic attacks (just keeping life exciting, ya know).
So while the boys are having their fun the girls are planning some fun of our own. Bailey and Mackenzie are going to have their first real slumber party. The girls are beside themselves with excitement. We're having some girlfriends over and Dana will be making dinner, then we'll move to our house for a movie "Becoming Jane". This is quite the momentous occasion as we have been trying to get together and watch this movie for over 4 MONTHS. It better be good.

The day after her birthday Bailey started soccer. I told her it was time for practice and she was a little upset that she had to practice "I already know how to play!" and wanted to know if we would still cheer for her (of course sweetie, in a few years it will embarrass you how much I want to cheer!).
Bailey had lots of fun at practice meeting the girls on her team. She really participates and follows everything the coach says (I thought she would talk most of the time!). After her second practice on Thursday she couldn't go to school because her legs were so sore (from a girl who has hiked in more national parks than most). The long weekend will do her good.
