Memorial Day

Bailey and I spent the afternoon with her Girl Scout troop

putting lei on the graves at the Veteran's Cemetery.

It was a lovely afternoon

cool and windy

and the flags look beautiful stiff in the breeze.

I walked through the gravestones setting out lei

and taking pictures of the girls

and wondering who these brave souls were

and how what they did affected my life today.

To all those who have served our country
